How breaks and approvals work

Log breaks during the entry and send the hours to a manager, who can approve or reject them before they go further.

Step by step

  1. Log the break in the entry

Start the break when work is interrupted, for example at lunch, and stop it when work resumes. The break is deducted from working time.

  2. Review the day on the timeline

Go through the day’s entry with working time and breaks, and fix obvious mistakes, for example a break that never got stopped.

  3. Send the hours for approval

Once the entry is complete, it goes to the manager if your setup requires approval.

  4. The manager approves or rejects

The manager reviews the hours and approves them, or rejects with a message so the employee can correct and resend.
